What's up party people. I had a super last minute spontaneous trip to Massachusetts last month and I'm only posting about it now... derp!
Ended up in North Adams area, checked out The Clark Museum, Mass MoCA, some Haunted Railroad tunnel (only the outside :p), Mt. Greylock (highest mountain in Mass!) and a "hidden" hiking trail with a waterfall in the end. THOUGHTS: The Clark Museum- clean, open and chilled. Cool art, lots of Monet for some reason. 19th century American paintings. Mass MoCA - Large space, renovated interiors. Big art. Artists exhibited where Sol Lewitt, Barbara Takenaga, Sarah Crowner and more! Sol Lewitt's pop-art esque wall art was pretty cool. Mt. Greylock - Highest mountain in Mass?! Cool. Also connected to the Appalachian Trail. So you get to look over the mountain right? All you see is this tiny town and all green surrounding it. It kinda felt like some RPG town. Cascade Trail - Supposedly a hole-in-a-wall spot hiking trail. Walked through it no prob, chilled at a small waterfall. Super dope. The Hoosac Tunnel - I didn't go there though... but! I went to grab a six-pack at the liquor store and asked if they have any local beers. He recommended me 2 or three until he reached out the Berkshire's Hoosac tunnel pale ale. He went motor mouth about the tunnel. Phew, it was great story but bit too long. Shouts to you B-man! Also he was very very very passionate about... Geocaching (like a treasure hunt for cool people, I guess). Bars and restaurants- closes maaad early. I had to stretch those beers I bought plus another pack to stay buzzed. OVERALL - Cool, quiet college town with mostly nothing to do. One wait staff even said "why are you guys even here?!!" after she asked where're we from (NY!! woot). 3 out of 5 dope. BONUS:
There's a lake called Chargoggagoggmanchauggagoggchaubunagungamaugg. Bask in the amazeballs. Now I gotta go back to Mass. Apparently it means "Fishing Place at the Boundaries -- Neutral Meeting Grounds" in Amerindian.
